What is ReadLock?

Pick the apps and websites that distract you most — during your scheduled reading session, ReadLock uses Apple Screen Time APIs to temporarily block them so you can focus. When the session ends, open ReadLock, update your reading progress and notes, and let AI score your comprehension before your apps unlock again.

How it works
Section titled “How it works”- Open ReadLock and continue as Guest — no account or personal info required.
- Add your current book by scanning the cover or searching the title.
- Go to Locked Apps → Add, grant Screen Time permission, and choose the apps, categories, or websites to block.
- Set your reading window (morning, afternoon, or evening).
- When your session is active, opening a locked app shows the ReadLock shield screen.
- When the session ends, open ReadLock → open your book → add your notes → let AI score your comprehension → tap Save to unlock your apps.
